Two Atmore men are in jail after a traffic stop at the intersection of Brooks Lane and Maxwell Street yielded drugs and a gun this morning, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said Brice Thunder Jackson, 18, and Hunter Scott Colbert, 26, were those arrested in a release.

Jackson has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, promoting prison contraband and carrying a pistol without a permit.

Colbert has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Their bond setting is being held today.
