Students with the Fred L. McGhee Early Learning Center will be competing in the 2018 Native American Youth Language Fair in Norman, Okla. on April 2-3, according to Poarch Creek Indian Calvin McGhee Cultural Educator Mallory Rolin.

To prepare for the event, the students gave a small special performance on March 20, in the multipurpose room of the Poarch Creek Community Center in Poarch, Rolin said.

Greg McGhee, language coordinator, works with the students on their Creek language and culture on a daily basis, and is accompanying the students and staff to the language fair.
