Taste buds engage.

The 15th annual Taste of the South event will be held tomorrow, Thurs., Sept. 20, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Heritage Park in Atmore.

The annual fundraiser, which is hosted by the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce, is an event where local restaurants, businesses, non profits and cooks offer small tastes, or samples, of some of their best dishes. The tasters judge their favorites.

Those participating in Taste of the South have the potential to win one of four divisions — Best Taste of the South, commercial; Best Taste of the South, amateur; Best Taste of the South, best dessert; and Best Taste of the South, best decorated booth.

Those participating as competitors, along with chamber ambassadors, are selling tickets to the event.

Cost is $10 for five tastes. Participants will have the opportunity to vote for who they think is the best at the event.
