An Atmore man was injured in a one-vehicle wreck Friday night on Jack Springs Road, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Alabama Law Enforcement’s Judy D. Williams said in a release that Desha Jenkins, 23, of Atmore, was injured in the wreck.

“Unit 1 was traveling south on County Road 1 (Jack Springs Road),” she said. “The driver of Unit 1 was driving under the influence of alcohol, over the posted speed limit and ran off the right side of the roadway. Unit 1 struck a bridge, overturned and came to an uncontrolled final rest in a ditch.”

The wreck remains under investigation of state troopers.
