Hurricanes hold ring ceremony, football banquet March 2

Flomaton held a ring ceremony and football banquet Saturday night to honor its Class 3A state championship victory.
The Hurricanes defeated Piedmont during a state title game in Auburn last fall to win its first in school history.
During the ceremony, head football coach Doug Vickery said the season was all about a journey and God surely blessed the team.
Those winning individual awards included Sam Smith, highest grade point average; Alex Cash, Smith and Tanner Jackson, hustle and effort award; Cameron McCall, most improved; Chance James, head hunter award; Zeb Vickery, scout team award; Travon Brown, special teams award; Jackson Dullard, most outstanding offensive lineman award; Devonta Bradley, most outstanding running back; Quincie McCall, most outstanding wide receiver; Micah Boyette, most outstanding defensive lineman; Jonathan Jones and Evan Tatum, most outstanding linebackers; Da’Shun Odom, most outstanding defensive back; Bailey Bass, defensive MVP; Daquan Johnson, offensive MVP; and Odom, 2018 MVP.
