Mr. Johnny Lucas, 56, passed away on April 7, 2019, in Jay, Fla.

He was a native and former resident of Atmore and had resided in East Brewton for the past 18 years. He was a member of the local Millwright Union No. 2471 and a proud member of the Republican party. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Lucas; father, Ronald Lucas; and brother, Blue Watson.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Chastity Peavy of East Brewton; one step-daughter, Brittany Coffey of Atmore; one brother, Randy (Anita) Lucas of Century, Fla.; two sisters, Rhonda Kay (Eddie) Mitchell of San Diego, Calif. and Michelle Lucas (Aubrey “BoBo”) Gregg of Little Rock; and three grandchildren, Bryson Burks, Aliyah Burks and Laikyn Coffey.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Thurs., April 11, 2019, from the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Roley officiating.

Burial will follow at Dry Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from noon until the 2 p.m. service time April 11 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Peavy, Darby Peavy, Bryan McGhee, Colton Brown, Jonathan Lucas and Doug Vickery Jr.

An honorary pallbearer will be Hilton W. Peavy.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC is in charge of all arrangements.
