APD executes early-morning warrants May 1 at Patterson Street complex
Two Atmore men were arrested May 1 after search warrants were executed at the Patterson Street Apartment Complex, according to police officials.
Chief Chuck Brooks said the APD executed three search warrants at approximately 6:30 a.m. at the apartment complex.
“Narcotics agents from Atmore Police, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, U. S. Marshall Fugitive Task Force and Alabama Department of Law Enforcement assisted with the search,” Brooks said in a release. “Agents found marijuana, synthetic marijuana, digital scales and guns during the searches.”
Brooks said John E. McDowell, 43, of Atmore, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and a failure to appear warrant out of Escambia County.
Additionally, Willie D. Wilson, 31, of Atmore, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were transported to the Escambia County Detention Center.
Brooks said more criminal charges are pending.
