Mr. Ronnie Morris, 58, passed away on June 15, 2019 at his home in Jay, Fla.

Mr. Morris was a native of Jay, former resident of Bratt, Fla. and had resided in Jay for the past five years.

He was a loving father, brother, avid fisherman, woodworker and retired from Swift Lumber Co. with 37 years service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Mary Morris; two brothers, Alton Morris and Preston Morris; and infant son, Michael Morris.

He is survived by his daughter, Ariel Morris of Jay; brother, Mason (Debra) Morris of Jay; sister, Vivian Joiner of Jay; two special nephews, Shannon (Cheri) Joiner of Jay and Jeremy Morris of Jay; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held June 20, 2019 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Chaplin Rev. Daniel Lay officiating.

Burial followed at the Sardis Cemetery.

Visitation was held June 20 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Randon Watson, Jeremy Morris, Thomas Rhoades, Cody Bell, Frank Lowry and Mickey Diamond.

The family would like to give special thanks to VITAS Healthcare, especially Renae and April and the staff at Baptist Hospital.
