Lady Chiefs head coach Betty Heaton said her team did a good job of establishing their new offense against PCA.
“Our varsity did a great job of implementing a faster offense,” Heaton said. “It is something that we are continuously working on putting into our program, and I felt that we are going to get it established.”
In junior varsity action, the Lady Chiefs defeated PCA in two games winning the first game 25-18 and the second game 25-19.
The Lady Chiefs were led by sophomore Alison Bardin and freshman Madison Arrington. Bardin recorded two digs and two aces in the match, while Arrington had four assists and two aces.
Freshmen Paeton Hadley and Tiffani Pritchett also contributed to the victory with Hadley getting one ace, one dig and one assist. Pritchett had one kill and one dig in the match.
Heaton said she was proud of how well her junior varsity played in their match against PCA.
“I am very proud of the JV team for the way they worked hard on every play to get three touches,” Heaton said. “Every play you could see them focusing on getting a pass, set, and hit. They did a great job working together. We still need to work on communication on the court, but I believe that will come.”
