ATMORE – Baby Quinn Ruthie Weber was born on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010 and went to be with Jesus just six hours later. Despite the heroic efforts of the medical team, it wasn’t enough and so they granted us, her parents, Jason and Joyce Weber, one precious hour to hold her. Her heart slowly stopped beating and she slipped peacefully away.
Her siblings, big brothers, Owen and Jack, and her big sister, Helen, will miss her. They had been excitedly anticipating her arrival and are so sad that she won’t be coming home with them and sleeping in her new baby room.
Her earthly body was very sick, but now her heavenly body is with Jesus, so she’s healthy and happy, content and at peace. This is the hope we have in Jesus – to be with Him when we are gone from this earth. We are holding on to this confident hope that she’s with Jesus and was welcomed into heaven by her great grandfathers, Martin Weber and Herman Bontrager, and her great grandmother, Lydia Gingerich. Many from her family now see heaven as even closer and anticipate a time when they will once again have an opportunity to hold her.
Her grandparents are James and Ruth Weber of Atmore and Jerry and Ruby Bontrager of Middlebury, Ind. Her great grandparents are Anna Weber of Atmore and Ida Bontrager and Verton Gingerich from Middlebury, Ind. She will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from Alabama and Indiana.
The same confidence in faith that we have to believe that she is with Jesus also gives us confidence that He is here with us too. So we hold on to that hope and we trust that God, in His great wisdom, knows what He’s doing and will give His comfort and peace during this time of sorrow and heartache. We pray for His grace and mercy and that He will give His help in our time of need.
We are so thankful to our family, the Grace Fellowship church family and many friends for supporting us through prayers and acts of service during this difficult time. We also would like to thank the Baptist staff and Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home for the kindness and compassion each provided.
A private graveside service was held on Monday, Sept. 13, 2010.
In lieu of flowers send memorials donations to Sav-A-Life Escambia Co., P.O. Box 1436, Atmore, AL. 36504.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
