Watching the leaves blow off some oak trees, I knew time was flying by – and it has.
It’s December 4, 2019, and I can’t believe it.
It was just like yesterday that I was covering the National Championship game at Acapulco’s for fan pictures.
This year, a good one, has been filled with many ups and downs and all in between.
As the Christmas season begins in earnest for the Atmore area tomorrow, take the time to reflect on the many blessings you have been given.
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, a small portion of our immediate family met up out of state to celebrate the food-centered gathering.
As I made my way toward my destination, I thought that before I know it, I’ll be heading down the interstate back to Atmore on Sunday. I was right.
We had a great time during our outing away, and I wouldn’t trade anything.
But, the one thing I would do is to slow time down a bit. Well, a big bit.
Hence the topic of my column today.
During the holiday season, we’ll all be attending different events and parties, and before we know it, it’ll be the start of 2020.
As you go about, take some time to yourself and count your blessings from the previous year.
Take that list and use it as a reminder for the coming year.
Set a goal to complete a project you’ve been putting off; run in a long-distance race; or even open a business you’ve been thinking about.
Whatever it is, make the coming year a good one and slow down a bit.
