Escambia County will face Baldwin County tomorrow night in varsity basketball action at Cornell Torrence Gymnasium in Atmore.
The Blue Devils (4-5) are coming off a 49-38 victory over Monroe County on Thursday.
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, ECHS played in the Gulf Shores Thanksgiving Tournament. The Blue Devils courted six players over the two-day tournament due to illnesses, coach John Shears said.
Shears said all are ready for tomorrow night’s game, which features a BCHS team that’s similar to the Blue Devils.
“They’re an athletic team, like us,” Shears said. “They play a lot of football guys.”
Shears said the main game plan is to slow BCHS down, and take away its transition points.
Additionally, a 6-foot-7 guard likes to get offensive rebounds and put backs, Shears said.
Varsity girls tip off action at 6 p.m., followed by the boys at 7:30.
