Karean Reynolds was elected as the new Escambia County Commission chairman Dec. 9.
Reynolds, the second African American to hold the position, said he’s looking forward to the opportunity to serve on the commission and shape the direction for the next year.
Reynolds set goals to accomplish during his time of service.
“I want to streamline the process of paving our roads, we are kind of behind on a few projects, and I want to develop a few strategies to streamline that process. That is the primary objective I have once I take over,” Reynolds said. “I want to thank my fellow commissioners with entrusting me with me with this prestigious opportunity.”
