James “Jimmy” Paul Snure

MILTON, Fla. – James “Jimmy” Paul Snure, 46, of Milton, Fla. passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010. He was born Sept. 8, 1964 in Wareham, Mass. to Gertrud “Trudi” Baumann Snure and the late James Joseph Snure and moved to Florida in 1989.

James attended high school in Bourne, Mass., received his associate’s degree from Pensacola Junior College in 1993 and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida State University in 1996. He served in the Army National Guard and while serving he received the Army Achievement Medal.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Fonda Denise (Stewart) Snure; his mother, Trudi Snure and his siblings, Charles “Chuck” Bright of Minnesota, Sue and Rick Gifford of Maine, Hannalaura and Jack McMorrow of Massachusetts. Aunts, Susan Sater and Nancy Snure of Georgia and Elsa Baumann of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., also survive him.  In addition, Amanda Rochel and Keith Martin, and Donnie and Sandra Stewart.  Nieces and nephews include, Samantha and Jonathan Rolin, Jessica and Cody Black, Rachel Martin, Scarlet Martin, Sarah and Tony Hicks, C.J. Hadley, Rebecca Gibson, Eric Frank Stewart, Brent Stewart, Shellie Stewart.  Great nieces and nephews, Lily Grace Rolin, Jackson Keith Rolin, Brittany Hicks, and Hunter Hicks.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 at Calvary Chapel in Gulf Breeze, Fla.  and will be officiated by Pastor Joe Prestridge. Rose Lawn Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House or the American Cancer Society.
