Escambia County High School was selected to be a Sole School Program recipient by Hibbett Sports, according to a release.
Sole School is a philanthropic outreach proram, where local Hibbett and or City Gear locations sponsor an underserved school in their local community.
As part of the program, schools receive an annual financial donation, along with athletic equipment, shoes for students, sole schools promotional items and student mentorship opportunities with local Hibbett and City Gear management staff.
In 2021, Nike has partnered with Hibbett to provide additional funds to sponsored Sole Schools.
A check presentation was held this morning with Hibbett District Sales Manager Brian Kelly and Atmore Hibbett Store Manager Jacquelyn Dunlap. Also present were ECHS head football coach Scott Mason and Principal Amy Cabaniss.
“Our Sole School program is a unique way to engage and support the communities that are so meaningful to us,” Kelly said. “This year we are especially proud to partner with Nike who has been so generous in helping us give Escambia an additional check this year.”
