COVID-19: 3 additional cases reported since April 13 ECHA report

The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced today that 1,592 cases of COVID-19 have been reported out of its two hospitals.
The latest number is an increase of three cases ince the April 13 report.
According to a release, 961 (plus two) cases have been reported out of Atmore Community Hospital, and 631 (even) from D.W. McMillan Memorial in Brewton since the last update.
At ACH, 4,599 specimens have been collected, 3,589 have been negative with one pending and 48 inconclusive.
At DWM, 3,994 specimens have been collected with 3,333 negative results, one pending and 32 inconclusive.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, 3,895 confirmed cases have been reported out of Escambia County. Some 973 specimens have been collected over the last 14 days.
Seventy-four people have died in the county.
The numbers are updated biweekly to help reflect current case numbers from the ECHA. Due to the timing of the informatin, the numbers may differe from the numbers on the ADPH’s website.
Confirmed cases are recorded by public health officials in the patient’s county of residence.
