ECHA reports 1 additional case since May 11

The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced today that 1,615 cases of COVID-19 have been reported out of its two hospitals.
The latest number is an increase of one case since the May 11 report.
According to a release, 971 (even) cases have been reported out of Atmore Community Hospital, and 644 (plus one) from D.W. McMillan Memorial in Brewton since the last update.
At ACH, 4,724 specimens have been collected, 3,704 have been negative with one pending and 48 inconclusive.
At DWM, 4,175 specimens have been collected with 3,510 negative results, one pending and 32 inconclusive.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, 3,553 confirmed cases have been reported out of Escambia County. Some 851 specimens have been collected over the last 14 days.
Seventy-seven people have died in the county.
The numbers are updated biweekly to help reflect current case numbers from the ECHA. Due to the timing of the informatin, the numbers may differe from the numbers on the ADPH’s website.
Confirmed cases are recorded by public health officials in the patient’s county of residence.
