Mr. Kim Chavis, 64, was a native of Pensacola, Fla. and a resident of Atmore.
He passed away on Sept. 11, 2021.
Mr. Chavis proudly served in the United States Army from which he medically retired. Those who knew him, knew he loved hunting and fishing and that is where he knew God the creator existed.
Through reading his bible, Kim received Jesus Christ as his personal savior and began his eternal journal which he continues now in heaven, where there is no sorrow, sickness or disease. Glory be to God.
Mr. Chavis was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Hooper; and brother, Ed Chavis. Kim is survived by his wife, Ms. Chip Chavis; children, Rob (Riannon) Chavis, Brian (Cherie) Chavis, James Manning, Michelle (Levi) Rose and Stanley Allen (Sheri) Myers; father, C.E. (Margaret) Chavis; sisters, Tami (Charles) Buzbee, Cindy (David) Wilson, Patsy (Kenneth) Nall and Lourinda Woods; brother, Steven (Annette) Chavis; grandson, Chaz Chavis; and great-granddaughter, Emma Marie.
A family memorial will be held at a later time.
