Police officials said all is quiet after generic threat to ECMS

Law enforcement officials said this morning that all is good at Escambia County Middle School after school system officials announced today that they were made aware of a generic threat that might have impacted the school.
Earlier this morning, ECSS officials announced on its Facebook page they were made aware of the threat.
“We do not believe Escambia County Middle School is the intended target. However, out of an abundance of caution, we will have an increased presence of Atmore Police Officers and Escambia County Sheriffs Deputies on campus Friday, Sept. 24.”
Chief Chuck Brooks said all is good.
Sheriff Heath Jackson said all is quiet on campus.
