Blue Devils still No. 2 in latest basketball poll

Escambia County is still No. 2 in Class 4A in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association boys basketball poll, which was released today.
The Blue Devils (15-3) claimed double-digit wins over Hillcrest-Evergreen, Baldwin County and Murphy over the holiday break, and won a close game with Guntersville.
Since the last poll, the only loss for ECHS came from LeFlore, a five-point loss in overtime.
In AISA, Escambia Academy is ranked No. 6. The Cougars improved to 5-3 overall after defeating Atmore Christian School by double figures last Thursday.
