A fire destroyed a trailer on a piece of property on South Road on Sunday, according to the Atmore Fire Department.

Chief Ronald Peebles said the department was called to the scene at 11:50 a.m., and cleared at 1:55 p.m.

Peebles said no one was inside the trailer at the time of the fire, and the cause is undetermined and still under investigation.

Peebles said the structure was declared a total loss.

Additionally, firefighters were called back to the scene some 6 hours later after the fire rekindled, the chief said.
