The Escambia County Commission finalized previous plans for improvements across the county during a regularly scheduled meeting on Monday.

During the session, commissioners approved an FY2022 bid for tree removal in the Atmore area. Areas on Henderson Lane, Beatline Road and Canoe Road South have been approved for tree removal per bid guidelines with the county. The project is expected to cost less than $15,000.

The commission also approved an agreement with L&K Contracting to proceed with work to improve the Ridge Road water system in the eastern portion of the county. The work will be done using CDBG grant funding to be administered through Escambia County Commission.
