The Poarch Creek Indians are holding a History Conference at the Poarch Creek Community Center today.

The conference, Words Passed On: Voices of Our Elders, is being held by the Office of Archives and Records Management and the Regulatory Affairs Division at PCI.

Those who attended or are attending heard historic recordings of elders who were interviewed by Venus McGhee Prince, Dr. Karla Martin Dawson and Dr. Deidra Suwanee Dees.

The conference lasts until 3 p.m.
