Mrs. Ruby H. Knowles, 63, died Sunday, December 30, 2001, at a Pensacola hospital.
Mrs. Knowles was a native and lifelong resident of Stanley Crossroads. She was retired from South Central Bell after 23 years, owner and operator of Stanley Crossroads Flower Shop and clerk, secretary, adult Sunday school teacher and pianist at Magnolia Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Shannon Lamar Knowles.
Mrs. Knowles is survived by her husband of 44 years, Delmas "Jack" Knowles of Stanley Crossroads; a son, Edwin Knowles and his wife, Teresa, of Mobile; a grandson, Jacob Knowles of Mobile, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 1, 2002, at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Yuhauz, the Rev. Harold McGraw and the Rev. James Crist officiating.
Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
