Rose Wallace Thompson Nicholas, 91, of Gulf Shores, passed away on Feb. 25, 2023.  She was born on Oct. 7, 1931 to Claude Wallace and Rose Allene Phillip Thompson in Tuscaloosa, but was raised in Monroeville.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Felix Creighton Nicholas; and her brother, Phillip Winston Thompson.

She is survived by her children, Phillip Creighton Nicholas of Asheville, N.C. and Johanna Nicholas (Bill) Millsap of Orange Beach; her grandchildren, Nicholas (Carly) Millsap of Gulf Shores, Lindsey (Justin) Luke of Birmingham and Haley (Marco) Italia of Melbourne, Fla.; and one great-granddaughter, Caroline Haley Luke of Birmingham.

Graveside services will be held tomorrow, Thurs., March 2, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore with the Rev. Andy Gartman officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
