A Loxley woman was arrested April 12 on drug charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.
Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said Kala Posey, 27, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, and was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
McMann said at approximately 3:30 p.m. on April 12, an APD officer conducted a traffic stop, and contacted Posey, the driver.
“The officer was given consent to search the vehicle, and discovered a plastic baggy containing a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine,” McMann said.
