Some 100 people dined on local vegetables and produce during the 2023 Farm to Table event tonight at Boxcar Willie.

The farm to table event, presented by the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce and United Bank, gives diners the opportunity to feast on food grown in the area.

Farmers and growers included Carla Jernigan, Chancery Chicks, Big Escambia Spirits LLC (Dettling Bourbon), Grateful Garcia Farms, JD Banks Produce, Juna Velli Winery, Local Appetite Growers, Perdido River Farms, Steve’s Farm, The Warehouse Market and Bakery, Turk’s Produce and Wateroak Coastal Catering.

The menu included a spring mix salad with grape tomatoes, cucumbers and onions with buttermilk ranch; chicken sliders; brisket or chicken, stuffed squash and zucchini; blueberry white chocolate bread pudding; wine, bourbon, tea, lemonade and water.

Live music was played by Tim Nowell of Pace, Fla., and the wait staff included the 2023-24 Atmore Chamber Youth Ambassadors.
