ECBOE accepts bid for portable classrooms at FES, approves personnel recommendations at June 1 meeting

The Escambia County Board of Education accepted a bid for portable classrooms at Flomaton Elementary School and approved personnel recommendations during its special-called meeting on June 1.
The portable classroom bid was accepted from Walker Construction and Consulting Services LLC for $675,680.

In other business, the board:
- approved a revised salary schedule;
- approved to purchase two 2023 Ford F-150 crew cab trucks for the maintenance department from Stivers Ford in Montgomery, state bid contract T191 in the amount of $33,938 each;
- approved board policy revision Section III fiscal management 3.21 credit card;
- approved an agreement between the ECBOE and medical personnel for medical services provided for sporting events;
- approved for Superintendent Michele McClung to attend the Innovative Schools Summit, called “Addressing Learning Loss. Cultural Responsiveness. Supportive Discipline,” July 5-9, 2023, to be paid from Title II funds;
