The Atmore Lions Club June 7 made a donation to Pilots for Christ during its regular meeting. Pilots for Christ, based out of Monroeville, transports patients to hospitals for medical care at no cost. Recently, the Lions Club held its spaghetti dinner fundraiser, and the proceeds raised went to Pilots for Christ. Pilots for Christ holds four to five flights per week at an average cost of $7,000 per round trip. The 501c3 organization flew 600 flights in 2022, and depends solely on donations.
