An Atmore man was arrested June 28 on domestic, sex abuse and false imprisonment charges, according to officials.

Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Hartwood McMillan, 33, was arrested and charged with domestic violence strangulation, sexual abuse I, false imprisonment I, domestic violence III (assault) and domestic violence III (criminal mischief).

McMann said APD officers responded to a residence on Highway 31 in reference to a domestic violence incident.

“Officers investigated the allegations and arrested (McMillan),” McMann said.

Hartwood was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
