Mr. Samuel Keith “Sammy” Gibbs, 61, passed away on Wed., June 28, 2023, in Birmingham.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee (Mary Frances) Gibbs; and one nephew, Scott Gibbs.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Annette Gibbs, of Atmore; one step-daughter, Brittany (Cody) McElroy, of Atmore; two brothers, Tony (Wanda) Gibbs, of Walnut Hill, Fla. and Bob (Pam) Gibbs, of Monroeville; one sister, Cheryl Gibbs, of Spanish Fort; one step-grandson, Will McElroy; numerous nieces; nephews; a special friend, Tim Mullek; and other relatives.

Funeral services were held on July 5, 2023 at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC with the Revs. Josh Long and Bill Watts officiating.

Burial followed at Canoe Freewill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ryan Lowell, Greg Babiak, Brandon Amos, Jonathan Gibbs, Paige Gibbs and Michael Sonen.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
