Frisco City man, Brewton woman arrested on drug charges Aug. 8

A Frisco City man and a Brewton woman were arrested Aug. 8 on drug charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Terrance Lett, 43, of Frisco City, was arrested and charged with one count of possession of marijuana II and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Heather Cash, 31, of Brewton was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McMann said at approximately 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, an APD officer performed a traffic stop in reference to a vehicle failing to maintain its lane.

McMann said the officer made contact with Lett and Cash.

“During their encounter he requested consent to search the vehicle,” McMann said. “During the search of the vehicle, the officers discovered approximately 4 grams of a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine, two pills that field tested positive for cocaine, a plastic baggy that contained approximately 1 gram of a green leafy substance that field tested positive for marijuana and an electronic scale.”

McMann said both were then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
