For the majority of next week, high temperatures will reach the triple digits in the Atmore and Brewton areas, according to the National Weather Service.
Meteorologist Cody Lindsey said in an email that it does look be very hot over the Atmore area next week as a strong ridge of high pressure aloft builds across much of the southern U.S.
“The latest forecast does have high temperatures ranging between 99-103 degrees in the Atmore-Brewton areas in Escambia County area each day from Tuesday to Friday next week,” Lindsey said. “The humidity could make it feel even hotter between 105-110 degrees going into the middle to latter part of the week, so heat advisories may become needed again.”
The high on Monday will be 96 degrees, then 98 degrees on Tuesday; 102 degrees on Wednesday; and 100 degrees on Thursday.
Take precautions if you have to go outside as officials encourage frequent hydration and sun protection.
