Mr. Bennie Weston "Bimp" Bush, 49, died Friday, January 11, 2002, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.
Mr. Bush was a native of Uriah, former resident of Detroit, Mich. and a resident of Atmore. He was a member of Abundant Life Church of Deliverance and was a retired dock laborer in Detroit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ula Mae Bush and Bernard Wright.
Mr. Bush is survived by his wife, Cynthia Davis Bush of Atmore; three sisters, Jettie Mae Gee, Oretha Powers and Delois Wilson of Atmore; three brothers, Roger Hall and Terry Wright, both of Atmore and Larry Wright of Panama City and his stepfather, Wydell Carter and his wife, Carolyn, of Atmore.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 16 from 1 to 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 17 at 1 p.m. at Gaines Chapel AME Church with Minister Carolyn Banks officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
