Mrs. Shirley Jean Tew, 86, passed away on Wed., Aug. 30, 2023, in Chatom.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Harrison (Myriam Elizabeth Bryan) White; and one brother, the Rev. Douglas White.
She is survived by her husband since 1962, Delmer Tew, of Chatom; one daughter, Karen (Billy) Waites, of Axis; five grandchildren, Dalton Evans, Elizabeth Evans, Chase Waites, Hunter Waites and Drake Waites; two great-grandchildren, Amelia Evans and Arya Waites; and other relatives.
Graveside services will be held this Sat., Sept. 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Holly Morales officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sept. 2, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until service at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC.
