Atmore man turns in front of APD narcotics agents, arrested for drugs

An Atmore man was arrested Sept. 1 on drug charges, according to officials.

Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Randall Weaver, 25, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

McMann said at approximately 12:05 p.m., APD narcotics agents observed a vehicle on Jack Springs Road turn suddenly in front of them.

McMann said then, the agents contacted Weaver.

“During the interaction with Weaver, one of the agents discovered a clear plastic baggie containing clear crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine,” he said.
Weaver was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
