Flomaton’s Blake Macks accounted for three touchdowns Friday to help lead the Hurricanes to a 27-20 win over Excel on the road.

Macks connected with Akayle Dixon for two scores, and Jax Fillmore for another in the victory.

“We played really well,” FHS head football coach Doug Vickery said. “It was kind of uncharacteristic for us. We scored four touchdowns; we threw three touchdowns and ran for one.”

Dixon accounted for the lone rushing touchdown of the night.

With the victory, the Hurricanes improve to 4-1 overall, and 2-0 in Class 3A, Region 1.

FHS has a bye next week.
