The Atmore area’s familiar friend will fall from the sky over the next few days.

According to the National Weather Service, showers are likely this afternoon into tonight.

Rain chances are 70 percent this afternoon, and 90 percent tonight.

For Saturday, rain is likely with a 70 percent chance on Veterans Day, and 50 percent tomorrow night.

Then, on Sunday, there is a 30 percent chance of rain.

The forecast for early next week calls for 70 percent chance of showers likely Monday night and Tuesday, according to the NWS.

Earlier this week, Gov. Kay Ivey issued a no burn order for the entire state.

A no burn ban is still in effect for the city of Atmore.
