Hurricanes fall 35-0 to Trinity in second round of playoffs tonight

Flomaton fell 35-0 to Trinity Presbyterian tonight in the second round of the AHSAA Class 3A state playoffs at Hurricane Field.
Both teams countered each other well during the first half, but Trinity led 7-0 at halftime.
Trinity’s Walker McClinton connected with Ross Sanders on two long touchdown passes, and hit Winston Phillips with 1 minute left in the third quarter as the Wildcats lead 28-0.
Trinity added its late touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Earlier in the game, McClinton found Sanders for their first touchdown connection of the game.
Flomaton’s Ryder Spence had two sacks in the game.
Flomaton ends its season 7-5.
Trinity advances to the third round at Mobile Christian next Fri., Nov. 24.
