Atmore Area Youth Choir holds winter concert tonight

The Atmore Area Youth Choir, an outreach program of the Pensacola Children’s Chorus, presented its winter concert tonight in Patterson Chapel at First Baptist Church of Atmore.
The choir, which is made up of students in grades 7-12, sang holiday and gospel selections. The audience also got the chance to sing popular Christmas songs, and one of the concert’s selections.
The program included “Alleluia Jubilatio” by Greg Gilpin; “White Winter Hymnal” by Robin Pecknold and arranged by Alan Billingsley; “Babethandaza,” a traditional South African folk song and arranged by Victor C. Johnson; “The First Noel,” a 17th century English Carol arranged by Pinkzebra; and “Now Behold the Lamb” by Kirk Franklin.
Conrad Weber and Ryan Dean co-directed the concert.
The AAYC includes Michael Bowen, Carmin Dean, Gabrielle Hawsey, Brooklyn Hursh, Jenna Kennel, Elizabeth Landis, Emma Mast, Jordan Overton, Ava Penner, Aliyah Torres, Kadence Worth and Jaylen Young.
