Mr. Danny Lavon Griffis, 69, passed away on Wed., Feb. 7, 2024, in Pensacola, Fla.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Daniel (Ruby Lee Johnson) Griffis; three brothers, Wayne Griffis, Gary Griffis and Dennis Griffis; one sister, Annette Lambeth; two nephews, David Griffis and Chad Hanks; one great-nephew, Dalton, Hanks; and a brother in law, Ken Hanks.
He is survived by his one brother, Tony Griffis, of McDavid, Fla.; two sisters, Patsy Griffis, of McDavid and Brenda Hanks, (Rocky Coffey) of Century, Fla.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held this Sun., Feb. 11, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC with the Rev. Tim Floyd officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held today, Sat., Feb. 10, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Griffis, Jon-Jon Griffis, James Emmons, Jackie Wayne Carnley, Rodney Griffis and Bryan Griffis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Hennington and Logan Hanks.
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC of Atmore is in charge of all arrangements.
