The Escambia County Board of Education approved the following personnel recommendations during its regular meeting May 9 at Escambia County High School:
Employment
- Mary Norton, as special education teacher at Flomaton Elementary School, effective Aug. 1;
Resignation
- Tracey Padget, as instructional aide at FES, effective May 24;
- Jennifer Strawbridge, as counselor at Huxford Elementary School, effective May 24;
- Brittany Linam, as teacher at HES, effective May 24;
- Deborah Salyers, as teacher at Rachel Patterson Elementary School, effective May 24;
- Ally Edwards, as teacher at RPES, effective May 24;
- James Hayles, as custodian at RPES, effective June 17;
- Damien Jackson, as special education teacher at W.S. Neal Elementary School, effective June 1;
- Sheila Hawthorne, as special education aide at WSNES, effective June 1;
- McKenna Gleaton, as teacher at WSNES, effective May 24;
- Sally Denton, as part time academic interventionist at WSNES, effective May 16;
Employment change
- Connie Reeves, as instructional technology resource teacher 202 day to instructional technology resource teacher 240 day at Atmore Central Office, effective July 1;
- Pamela Robinson, as high school counselor 202 day to high school counselor 240 day at Escambia County High School, effective July 1;
- Deanna Ross, as high school counselor 202 day to high school counselor 240 days at Flomaton High School, effective July 1;
- Beth Caupp, as high school counselor 202 day to high school counselor 240 day at W.S. Neal High School, effective July 1; and,
Summer employment
- approved 97 hires for summer employment, and additional off contract days for the counselors at each high school and the instructional tech resource teacher at the Atmore Central Office.
