2 male trespassers arrested by ADOC for promoting prison contraband

Two male trespassers were arrested by the Alabama Department of Corrections May 20 on promoting prison contraband and other charges, according to officials.
ADOC Public Information officer Kelly Betts said in a release that Matthew Cameron Jones was charged with prohibited activities, promoting prison contraband I, criminal trespassing and possession of marijuana II; and Richard Facison was charged with prohibited activities, promoting prison contraband I and criminal trespassing.
Betts said in a release on May 20, the ADOC’s Southern Region K-9 Unit located and arrested Jones and Facison on state property near Holman Correctional Facility.
Betts said 13 packages of contraband were located inside a perimeter fence.
Betts said deputies with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office transported Jones and Facison to the county jail in Brewton, and the investigation is ongoing and further charges may be pending.
