Juvenile charged with attempted murder after Friday night shooting

A juvenile was arrested June 15 on an attempted murder charge, according to the Atmore Police Department.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that on June 14, at approximately 5:35 p.m., APD officers responded to the 300 block of Everette Street in reference to a shots fired complaint.

“While enroute to the scene, the officers were notified that a juvenile had been shot and was taken to the hospital by private vehicle,” McMann said. “The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.”
McMann said investigators were able to identify the suspect, who is also a juvenile.

“The suspect was taken into custody without incident in Baldwin County on June 15, 2024 and is charged with attempted murder,” he said.
