Atmore Community Hospital (ACH) announced July 8 that Crystal Lopez-Ballard has been named the laboratory manager for Atmore Community Hospital (ACH).
Lopez-Ballard will assume the overall management and administrative responsibility for the Laboratory Department. She will work with all ACH staff, clinics and providers to ensure continued improvement and the highest quality care possible.
“Crystal assumes the role of lab manager from Melanie Baldwin, who served as interim manager. Melanie was instrumental in ensuring our continued accreditations as well as managing the ongoing staffing and clinical changes within the lab,” ACH Administrator Brad Lowery said. “We are confident that Crystal will continue to build upon the successes our team has demonstrated over the last several challenging years and put us in an even better position going forward.”
Lopez-Ballard joins ACH after previously working as assistant project manager for a building company in Pensacola, Fla., lab director in Spanish Fort, interim lab manager in Birmingham and as a med tech in Daphne.
Lopez-Ballard is a graduate of the University of West Florida with dual degrees in psychology and clinical lab sciences. Lopez-Ballard is a graduate of Gulf Breeze, Fla. High School.
