Atmore woman arrested Aug. 20 on warrant for theft

An Atmore woman was arrested Aug. 20 on an outstanding warrant for theft from the Escambia County Fla. Sheriff’s Office, according to officials.

Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said Cecelia Andrews, 61, was arrested on a warrant for the alleged theft of a motor vehicle.

McMann said APD officers responded to the 200 block of West Oak Street in reference to a domestic disturbance at 3:20 p.m. the day of the arrest.

McMann said officers discovered Andrews was wanted by the ECSO (Fla.) during their investigation.

Andrews was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton, where she will be extradited to Escambia County, Fla.
