The Escambia County Board of Education approved the following personnel recommendations during its regular meeting Aug. 22.

Retirement

  • Mary Sheffield, as seven-hour lunchroom worker at W.S. Neal Elementary School, effective Aug. 1;
  • Ava Crutchfield, as OCS aide at W.S. Neal High School, effective July 31;
  • Betty Johnson, as sped bus driver at Brewton Bus Shop, effective Oct. 31;
  • Larry Zangas, as bus driver at Brewton Bus Shop, effective Jan. 1, 2025;
  • Donna Coleman, as bus driver at Brewton Bus Shop, effective Aug. 31;
