Lady Rams fall in 1st round of PCC tournament

Atmore Christian fell to Pensacola Christian 3-1 (25-20, 10-25, 23-25, 12-25) in the first round of the Pensacola Christian Conference tournament on Oct. 10.

Lady Rams volleyball coach Sheila Copenhaver said the girls started out hot, and added that she’s proud of how the girls battled against a good team.

“We don’t have any graduating seniors, so I’m looking forward to our team building and progressing off of this year,” Copenhaver said. “We have a bright future.”
Ava Smoker went 20-for-20 with two aces to lead ACS; Jenna Kennell had three aces; Lizzy Landis had six kills, 15 digs and six blocks; and McKenna Nicholas had five blocks.

Landis received all conference honors following the match.
