URIAH – Mrs. Maudie Luverne Scott Johnson, 87, of Uriah died March 13, 2011 at a Mobile hospital.

She was born in Goodway and lived in Uriah. She worked with Vanity Fair for several years as a sewing machine operator.

He husband, Pascal Lee Johnson Sr. and her son, Rondal Johnson, preceded her in death.

Survivors include, six sons, Jerry (Carol) Johnson of Fairhope, Willie (Nellie) Johnson of Goodway, Jimmy Ray Johnson of Pine Hill, Gary Johnson of Uriah, Pascal Lee (Kathy) Johnson Jr. of Goodway and Larry Johnson of Uriah; three daughters, Elaine (James) Tatum of Goodway, Annette (Hilbert) Hall of Atmore and Joyce (Jimmie) McKinley of Franklin; 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Lester Scott and Elder Marion Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Sowell Old Field Cemetery in Goodway.

Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the funeral home.
