An Atmore man was arrested Nov. 16 on a domestic violence charge, according to officials.
Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Kennedy Crook, 43, was arrested and charged with domestic violence by strangulation or suffocation.
McMann said on Nov. 16 at approximately 2:55 a.m., APD officers responded to the 100 block of Short Street in reference to a domestic violence complaint.
“When officers arrived on the scene, they contacted the victim,” McMann said. “The victim told the officers that she was struck in the face and choked by her boyfriend, Kennedy Crook, 43, of Atmore. The victim had visible injuries to her neck.”
Crook was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
